I hope you enjoy the picture of Philip. I know that it is a significant picture because it was the last one taken of him while he was alive. I also think it is a good picture of him, a picture taken of him in action doing something that he was enjoying. It was taken by Bro. Vincent Jans, O.P. on a school field just up the street from St. Albert's. Phililp and Pete were refereeing the annual Turkey Bowl touch football game between the Dominican student brothers and the Dominican novices and senior community of St. Albert's. The date was Thanksgiving Day, November 23, 1989 - 13 days before he died. It was about the fifth year that Philip had refereed that particular game.
