Graduate school, beginning teacher with little success
with the poor, intermediate teacher with some success
with the affluent; and then leaving Los Angeles and
moving for the suburban dream. with family.
My period as an idealistic new teacher attempting to do a near
impossible job;
the hardest thing I have ever done to my body or psyche.
